Smart Touchless Hand-Sanitizer Dispenser

At Odic, I worked with Vaask to develop the next generation of Vaask’s smart hand-sanitizer dispenser. As the electrical hardware lead on this project, I was tasked with optimizing the existing design for cost and battery life.

I was able to replace several expensive specialty components, while still replicating the functionality of the current-generation system accurately, using lower-cost off-the-shelf components in conjunction with firmware modifications I developed.

I was also able to find opportunities to reduce the time-averaged power consumption substantially, using a power budget analysis I developed.
